Accept yourself for who you are, not what other’s want you to be.

You have to accept yourself first before getting accepted by others.


You want to be accepted? You got to step out of your comfort zone.

Take it from me, it wasn't easy for me to get out of my comfort zone, I wasn't confident enough to share with the world who I was and still am today. Everyday I would tell myself, you got to accept yourself, you need to open up your doors, you need to get out of your safe zone.


I have many flaws that I was so embarrassed about with myself. I hated smiling because I didn't and still do not have a beautiful smile. I realized this when I was very young, a lot of people would make fun of me, call me names and really put me down. I told my parents about being made fun of because the way I looked. They didn't do anything about it because I didn't come from a rich family. So, I had no choice at the time to stay with it and try to make the best of it and accept myself. It was hard. Bullied constantly. Most of my elementary days I spent alone because no one wanted to be my friend. I was the "freaky looking" kid with the ugly smile.


As time went by, I finally made friends. I meet some amazing individuals that are still my friends today. Still at that time I still had no confidence to smile and still didn't accept myself with the major flaw I have.


I'm 29 now. I finally accepted myself and accepted the fact that I do not have a beautiful smile. I woke up one day and literally said "This is me and I ain't going to change myself to please others"


There are many people out there that suffer from self-acceptance. I get it. I did too. Let me just tell you that you should accept yourself. Be the person you want to be. Get out there! Be confidence. Love yourself. Accept yourself.

Here are some ways to help you out with self-acceptance.


1. Take control of your life

It's your life, live it how you want to live it. Get out of your comfort zone. Be the person you want to be.


2. Be authentic

Be original. Don't try to copy people. Don't copy them that way they can like you. Be real. Let them be friends for you from who you truly are.


3. If anyone compliments you. Take it! Embrace it!

Any little compliment, store it. Use that compliment to boost your confidence.


4. Constantly remind yourself that you are unique

Every time you look at a mirror and see your reflection, remind yourself that you are amazing.
