3 Ways To Help You Be A Better Friend

Are you a good friend? Do you have many friends that you hope are in your life forever? I know I do and with these tips, they can make you a better friend for them.

1. Be upfront with your friends

If you find yourself talking behind your friends back, change that. It's good to be upfront with your friends and honest with them. Be upfront with them to avoid unnecessary problems with your friendship.

There was a time where friends of mine where talking about me behind my back and it started a rumor about me but wasn't even what was the issue that got the rumor started, it was completely different and irrelevant. This happens because they twisted the words about the whole thing and it got pretty ugly. This could have been avoided if they would just upfronted me about the whole thing.

2. Check on your friend's mental health

Even though your friends appear to be happy and healthy on the outside, that doesn't show how they are doing on the inside.

Ask simple questions to them like;

  1. Anything you want to talk about?

  2. How are you feeling?

  3. Are you doing well emotionally?

A simple question can change a person's mental health very quickly because it shows you are concerned with their mental health. Be a good friend and check on your friend's mental health.

3. Make your friends feel like they are wanted

Its time to spend some time with your friends. Go out and try something new with your friends. Start a new adventure. Start a new tradition. Keep that bond strong and healthy.

Every now and then I always try to get my friends and me to go out and do some activities we may not have done before or activities that we all like to do together as a group.

Some of these activities are some you may want to do with your friends

  1. Escape rooms

  2. Movies

  3. Roadtrips

  4. Beach Trips

  5. Gym

To sum everything up, its important to make sure your friends and yourself are friends forever.

Be honest and upfront with them, always make sure they are doing well inside and out and keep that bond strong and always make sure they are wanted in your life but do keep some time for yourself.
