3 Ways to DETOX your life



Are you overwhelmed? Are you overworked? Are you overstressed?

If you said yes, I am too. Let's face it, we all live in this world were we are surrounded by negativity from social media. We are working so much hours just to make ends meat and pay our bills. Are mind is over loaded with questions like "Do I work today?, Am I going to have enough money for groceries? Should I buy groceries or pay my bills" "Am I going to get pulled in to the managers office because of my work" "Am I going to get fired today" All those questions can cause anyone to get extremely stress. I think its time to detox your life, am I right?


Here are 3 ways to detox your life.


1. Detox your life: Social Media;


With social media, we as humans get too involved with everything happening all over the world. We get too obsessed with celebrities and sometimes push ourselves a bit too far to try to get to their level. Yes I know, we all want that lifestyle, but quit obsessing over it.


One thing that I find appalling is body-shaming and judgement. Why do we brutally judge other people by their looks or by they way they live or by their beliefs. We are not perfect, already getting to the year 2020 and I feel like that it's getting worse than it was before.


So, I think its time to take a break from social media. Don't you think. Just for a while.


2. Detox your body


Is your body tired from all that hard work you are doing. I know mine is. After working 40 hours a week in the hospitality world, we deserve some self-care. Here's a small list of things you can do for self-recovery from your over worked body.


  1. Do nothing for a few minutes. Yes nothing, absolutely nothing. Just sit down, close your eyes and clear your mind. It's really relaxing.

  2. Lay by the pool.

  3. Soak in all those rays from the sun and have a cool refreshing drink (Drink responsibly and put sun screen on)


If you are eating unhealthy on your breaks at work, I think its time for a change on that. Eating healthier can give you more energy and with that energy you can utilize at the gym.


3. Detox your mind


It's time to detox your mind. Close your eyes and release that negativity. It's time to think of all the great stuff that has been happening in your life. Think of all the accomplishments you've done through the years. Think about your bright future. Not think about anything negative things at all.


Here are a few things you can do to detox your mind.

  1. Go for a long cruise

  2. Go to the gym

  3. Go for a walk

  4. Put your phone away for an hour

  5. Take a long relaxing bath


Now that you can detox your life, do it! Start fresh tomorrow!
